Day 1 of the six-day, 256-mile CYMRUN end-to-end challenge across Wales, this 37.6-mile stage runs from Holyhead on Anglesey to Caernarfon along National Cycle Route 8, with about 1,980ft of ascent. It is named after the Angelystor, a spirit said to appear at Llangernyw church to announce the names of those due to die.
