The Marathon de la Liberté, created in 1988, is a June D-Day commemoration run from Courseulles-sur-Mer along Juno and Sword beaches and past Pegasus Bridge to the Stade Hélitas in Caen, with a half marathon from Pegasus Bridge, a 10 km in Caen, a relay and the women's Rochambelle, organised by Les Courants de la Liberté.
