A flat, fast city marathon through central Berlin, starting and finishing on Straße des 17. Juni with the run-in through the Brandenburg Gate. It is one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, entry is allocated by lottery, and the time limit is 6 hours 15 minutes. Wheelchair and handbike races are held over the same course.
