Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026 — Draft
1. About RunHub
RunHub is a free, community-driven directory for running events worldwide. It is maintained by a single volunteer in their spare time. There is no company, no legal entity, and no commercial operation behind it — just someone who wanted a better way to find running events.
By using RunHub you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. You must be at least 13 years old to register.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or that are used to harm the community.
3. Event Submissions
You may submit running events for inclusion in the directory. By submitting an event you confirm that:
- The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to share it (e.g. you are the organiser or have their permission).
- The event does not violate any applicable law.
All submissions are reviewed before being published. We may edit, decline, or remove any submission at our discretion, including if the event is cancelled, outdated, or otherwise unsuitable.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not use RunHub to:
- Submit false, misleading, or spam content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data in a way that places unreasonable load on the service.
- Harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
5. Disclaimers
RunHub is provided as-is, with no guarantees of accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Event details — including dates, locations, and distances — are submitted by users and may be incorrect or out of date. Always verify event information directly with the organiser before registering or travelling.
As this is a volunteer project, the site may occasionally be unavailable, slow, or have bugs. We will do our best to keep things running, but we cannot promise any particular level of uptime or support.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RunHub and its volunteer operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including (but not limited to) reliance on event listings that turn out to be inaccurate or cancelled.
7. External Links
RunHub links to third-party websites (e.g. event registration pages). We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting external sites is at your own risk.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please use the contact page.
